IG1 4LG
Known simply as The Legend on account of his making a comeback to cricket twenty years after retiring. Is also becoming known as a latter day Bob Hoskin thanks to his habit of combing his hair in the dressing room as part of his warming up routine.
John French
Name: John Simon French Cricket Attributes : Wicketkeeper Nick Name: Frenchie, Jim (Courier). Biography: A very old man now Frenchie still is the best keeper in the club but is overlooked for older brother of the 1's skipper. Still holds club record score of 205 not out.
Steve Glasse
Essential declaration bowler. Claims to play most of his shots through the 'V', but generally neglects to mention that most of his runs are hoiked from three foot outside the off stump to wide mid-on.
Hon Treasurer
Ken Goult
Mike Graham
Known throughout the Club as Grizzly, as all his hair has migrated South from his head, and occupies all the space from his eyebrows downwards. Has been known to get the odd run or two, mostly two. Now in his twilight years, his remaining ambition is to beat his highest score (152*), but will probably be disappointed.
Joe Henry
Wayne Henry
Gus Horne
An eminient thinker on the game, Gus' appeals can be heard all the way to his home town in St Vincent Very animated speaker on a number of subjects but alas, apart from the odd suggestive comment to bar staff in The Bell, it is not known what these subjects are. His main functions, however, are to clear the dressing rooms after tea and to supply the teams with space cake after he match.

First memory of Clayhall Cricket Club goes back to 1974 when I was attacked by an alsation dog outside the scorebox in Clayhall Park. Career highlights include once took a nine for v Dagenham Cables on a bank holiday Monday and would like to think that I showed Nasser Hussain how to field in the Terriers Cup final at Chelmsford back in 1979. Career lows include dropping 4 catches off Neville Hinton's bowling in my debut senior game for the 3rds at Highgate.

Yasin Patel
Single. Polite. Good looking. Is known as "Chesh" to friends: as he has none, you never hear the term referred to. Is more widely known as "bore, grumpy, moaner, sulker".
Has an IQ of 12, but pretends that it is a lot more!
Is known for being the slowest batsman in the history of cricket in Essex. Rather vain too. Carries a comb in one pocket and hair gel in the other. Super glue in his back pocket as he cannot catch. Finally, is known as 'John Smith' to close friends due to his 'cardboard cut-out' like movements!
It is now official, Yasin won the H&C pin up award again. It is now 17 years running. Club have indefinitely banned him from the competition.
